I love what I do. I am honored and humbled when assisting a family and happy to share their struggles and joys.
Rosalba was born and raised in Mexico City. She attended the National University of Mexico for a degree in dentistry. Later she completed a Masters program at Case Western Reserve University with emphasis on facial growth and development. Little did she know at the time how suitable this knowledge would be to her lactation career.
Life surprised her with the opportunity to be involved in lactation as an outreach program coordinator when living in Indiana.
“I had the honor of receiving a grant from the March of Dimes to start a lactation clinic and, as they say, the rest is history!
Life is filled with a husband of 41 years, my two grown children and spouses, daily exercise, travel, friends and lots of breastfeeding. I love to wake up in the morning to my first cup of espresso coffee and the promise of helping a family address their breastfeeding concerns”.
Rosalba is a member of ILCA (International Lactation Consultant Association), USLCA (United Sates Lactation Consultant Association); HALCEA (Houston Area Lactation Consultants Educators Association); IATP (International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals); ICAP (International Consortium of Oral Ankylofrenula Professionals.
About Complete Breastfeeding
Complete Breastfeeding first opened as Lactation Private Practice in the spring of 2012. Rosalba worked in the field of lactation for many years in community clinics and hospital settings; her ultimate goal was to have her own independent private practice where she could merge her strengths, life passions and family life goals.
Rosalba has invested hundred of hours in elevating her clinical skills in identifying oral restrictions and providing oral rehabilitation post frenotomy.
Her interest and passion for oral function associated with breastfeeding led to the first interdisciplinary frenotomy clinic in Houston. Her work continues in collaboration with Dr Luedemann, in a new frenotomy integrative clinic based on a centering model of care.
